Hardware Key Overview

Flexible, convenient licensing

The Hardware Key is a mobile platform for your software license*, allowing the same license to be used on different computers. For example, if you have your ARENA setup on one computer, but use ARENA for editing motion capture data in another space, you can simply move the Hardware Key to the workstation you are using at the time. Previously, OptiTrack license files were locked to a camera, which had to be plugged into the computer with the software license.

* The USB Hardware Key does not contain a license itself. Software licenses must be purchased separately and locked to the Hardware Key. Moving a Hardware Key to another computer also requires the user to copy the associated software license file. Learn more about software licensing and activation.
